Tai Chi: An Ancient Art in a Modern World with Sifu Romain

Tai Chi makes your brain bigger, keeps you on your toes, and helps you shake off stress effortlessly. Researchers at the University of South Florida and Fudan University in China found that Tai Chi increases brain volume in seniors who practiced the discipline three times a week for 40 weeks.

Introducing and training your brain to relax can help you deal with daily stressors that might come your way. It can even help you deal with the bullies of the world. In fact, it is believed that there is potential to remove bullying behaviour from those that present such negative and unsavoury traits through the practice of tai chi.

World Champion and United International Kung Fu Hall of Fame inductee Sifu Romain has been studying and training in Kung Fu for 34 years. He is the owner and master instructor of the Edgewater Kung Fu Academy in New Jersey and founder of the online training program, Tai Chi for Healthy Living.

Master Romain provides group and private lessons to several well-known athletes and celebrities, and coordinates many off-site programs for various schools, municipalities and major corporations, in addition to making frequent celebrity appearances.

He also founded Kung Fu for a Better Life which is a non-profit organization offering programs focused on empowering children through basic martial arts philosophies.

Sifu Romain has authored two books; Legendary Longfist and The Self-Confidence Factor: A Parent’s Guide to Bully Prevention. He has co-authored two books with Dr. Steve Kinnard; The Cross and The Warrior and The Shaolin Athlete. He has also contributed to Dr. Oz’s book and video, You Staying Young.
